Franciscan Volunteer Ministry

Those who come to us from the Franciscan Volunteer Ministry are people who live a year of service in our community, working and praying with the team.

  • Ms. Marisabel Alonzo
  • Ms. Hanna Briggs
  • Mr. Jesse Nunez
  • Mr. Oscar Paz

To aid us in serving our guests, we have people that work in our ministries who are part of the extended community:

  • Ms. Marie Malone
  • Ms. Natalie Weaver

We have a strong support staff composed of people who volunteer regularly at the Inn. This include the “Breakfast Crews” who come in to serve the breakfast meal on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, people who volunteer every week (or even more frequently) at the main meal, and a regular group of volunteers who work with us at Marie’s Closet.

We also have people who join us for a month or more each year to help prepare and serve the meals.

Finally, we have youth, high school, college and adult groups who come for a weekend or for a full week and help us prepare and serve the meal (as well as volunteer at the Thea Bowman Women’s Center and at the thrift store).

Religious In Community

There are friars in-residence that are part of the friar community but who are not members of the team.

  • Fr. Bill DeBiase, OFM
  • Fr. Patrick Sieber, OFM
